West Ham according to various sources (cf. Hammered, Rooster and KUMB) are looking to set up their own team in the United States. West Ham will establish their team in United Soccer League One (USL First Division), America's equivalent of the English Championship.
Although various English teams have tie-ups with American clubs, this would be the first time a British club have agreed to compete in a foreign league in their own right.
The more popular top league in the US is the Major League Soccer (MLS) with Red Bulls New York (the American "brother" of Red Bull Salzburg) and LA Galaxy with David Beckham.
Will a re-launched West Ham-Website after setting up "WHUSA" look like the Red Bull-Website with both teams featuring in the intro of the site?
