Two Goals in 3 games, 3 games unbeaten and the boy is finally having a decent run of games.
It reminds me of an old Psalm 118:22 "The stone which the builders have rejected has become the chief cornerstone."
I don't think McClaren will be knocking any time soon, but Cole has something to offer West Ham and I'm glad he is getting his chance. (I wish he'd work on his touch though.)

Dass West Ham durchaus glücklich durch ein Tor in der Nachspielzeit der 2. Hälfte ins Viertelfinale aufstieg, bestreitet Alan Curbishley nicht:
"Coventry were the better side, we all know that. We didn't win a header, we hardly won a tackle, people were running off us, and then when we did get the ball back we found it very difficult to keep it.
"All the things that we were hoping to do to Coventry, they did to us. Great credit to them, they played exceptionally well.
"We got a bit of luck, but you get so many knocks in this game, you take it. We've got through, and we'll look forward to see who we get in the next round."
